No license shall be issued for conducting a Carnival, Exhibition, or Circus, until the Applicant has placed on file with the City Clerk's Office a Certificate of Insurance indicating that there is in effect Public Liability Insurance covering damages arising out of the use and operation of devices and facilities operated in connection with the Exhibition, Carnival, and Circus.
The insurance shall be in the minimum amount of $1,000,000 for each person and $1,000,000 for each accident. Additionally, the City shall be named as additional insured under the insurance policy. The cost of the License is $25.00 per day. Checks may be payable to the "City of Lockport" and submitted to the City Clerk's Office. A license will then be issued.
For Carnivals, a payment of $10.00 per ride must be paid in advance to the Building Department. Once the fee is paid, inspections of the rides will be scheduled within 24-48 hours. Both the Fire Department and the Building Department will need to inspect the rides and/or any tents prior to operating.
