INVITATION FOR BIDS 

2023 SIDEWALK & ADA PROJECT

The City of Lockport will receive sealed bids for PCC Sidewalk removal and replacement for ADA compliance, Curb and Gutter removal and replacement, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project at variance locations throughout the City and all in accordance with the Bid and Contract Documents for the 2023 Sidewalk & ADA Project (23-223). Prospective bidders are advised to carefully review the Plan, General Conditions, Special Conditions, Special Provisions, and Details of this document.

Prior to receiving bid documents, all bidders must show prequalification with IDOT Category 17 “Concrete Construction” exceeding $500,000.

Obtaining Bid Documents: The Bidding Documents are available as an electronic file on a flash drive at the Public Works & Engineering Building front counter, 17112 Prime Boulevard, Lockport, IL 60441 for a non-refundable charge of $30.00. Bidders must purchase bid documents and be shown on the Bidder’s Plan Holder List in order to bid. Bids received from bidders who are not in the Bidder’s Plan holder List will be rejected.

Bids will be received until Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 10:30 A.M. local time, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read. The bid opening will be held at the City of Lockport City Hall, third floor, City Clerk’s Office, 222 E. 9th Street, Lockport, IL 60441. All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above.  Bids transmitted by facsimile or email will not be accepted.   

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Lockport, City Clerk, 222 E. 9th Street, Lockport, IL 60441 and marked to indicate the following:
